Quick Answer
The Wolverine Genesis Arms Gen-12 MTW SBS fires 6 BBs per trigger pull, up to 36 BBs per second on full auto. Licensed Genesis Arms receiver, HAVOC engine, Spartan Control Board, 7" M-LOK rail, 208mm barrel. Just under 1 Joule per BB at 90 PSI stock. This is the most aggressive CQB HPA platform Wolverine has ever built — and it is purpose built for one thing: destroying people indoors.
What's In The Box
Open the box and you get a clean foam-lined package with everything you need:
- Instruction manual — read it before you shoot
- Spare O-ring kit — Wolverine knows you're going to run this hard
Read the manual. This is the second generation of Wolverine's shotgun concept and there are platform-specific quirks you need to understand before your first game. The manual will get you up to speed faster than anything else.

What Changed From The First Generation
This is the second generation of Wolverine's HPA shotgun concept. The biggest change is the engine — the Gen-12 fires 6 BBs per trigger pull instead of 8. That sounds like a step back but it isn't. All 6 BBs come out of the same barrel with a spread pattern that is devastating at CQB distances, and the tighter grouping per shot means more consistent hit registration on target.
First Impressions — Size And Weight
Very light. Very small package. This is genuinely one of the most compact HPA platforms available. The SBS profile means it fits anywhere — around corners, through doorways, in tight rooms. That's the whole point. This is not a field gun. This is not a DMR. This is a room-clearing machine.
Wolverine does not mess around with build quality. This feels exactly like what you paid for — solid, no rattle, premium construction throughout. Drop it and you wouldn't worry about breaking it.

The Platform — Hybrid M4 Controls
The Gen-12 is a hybrid platform built around M4-style controls. If you run any other MTW, the controls will feel immediately familiar:
- M4 style safety
- M4 style trigger
- M4 style fire selector
- Extended BB follower with empty magazine detection — the gun knows when you're dry

The Spartan Control Board
The traditional Spartan-style control board gives you semi, burst, and full auto — same electronics architecture as the rest of the MTW lineup. If you've run any Wolverine MTW platform before, the Spartan FCU will be immediately familiar.
The Rail And Barrel
7" Invictus M-LOK handguard — mock positions throughout for lights, grips, or anything else you want to run. Keeps the profile compact and CQB-ready.
208mm inner barrel with TDC hop-up — short, purpose built for the distances this gun is designed to engage at. The TDC adjustment is accessible and straightforward.

⚠️ Hop-Up Compatibility — Read This Before Buying Accessories
The Gen-12 uses a dedicated shotgun hop-up system. Standard MTW hop-up units and aftermarket hop rubbers designed for single BB fire are NOT compatible.
Before purchasing any hop-up accessories for this gun, check the Wolverine knowledgebase at wolverineairsoft.com for full compatibility details.
Limited MTW-Spec compatibility overall — this is not a full drop-in replacement for standard MTW accessories across the board.
This Is An HPA Gun
The Gen-12 MTW SBS requires an external HPA tank, regulator, and line to operate. If you're new to HPA contact us before buying — we'll help you put together the right setup.
FPS Test — 0.32g BBs At 90 PSI
- Just under 1 Joule per BB
- 6 BBs per trigger pull — each firing at its own Joule within the 0.6 to 1.1J adjustable range
- Adjust pressure to hit your field's specific limits
This gun is designed for indoor CQB. At 90 PSI with 0.32g BBs the per-BB Joule is right in the window for most indoor field limits. The spread at CQB distances is what makes this effective — not raw FPS.
Range and accuracy: there isn't any at meaningful outdoor distances. This excels inside. It is not meant for outdoor field play. Know what you're buying before you buy it.
