Quick Answer
The Stalker Brown Oak Combat Pants are the second half of a complete ghillie build. In this video Jeff uses leftover Dark Treeline modules from the Le Covert Halo Screen Laser Cut Kit plus the Oak Master 3D Garlands to finish the build — green Alder top, brown bottom, built for mixed terrain.
A Half Crafted Ghillie Suit Is Half A Target
In the previous crafting video we finished the Stalker Alder Leaf Suit top with the Le Covert Halo Screen Laser Cut Kit. Three out of four color shades used, hood and shoulders packed out, Dark Treeline modules saved for exactly this moment.
The build isn't finished until the bottom half matches. A crafted top and bare pants means your lower half is still readable at distance — and the floor of the field is a completely different environment than the canopy above it.

Know Your Environment Before You Craft
The most important thing Jeff covers before attaching a single module: have an end goal in mind before you start.
The environment this build is designed for has lush green trees and bushes at canopy level, but the floor is dead leaves, pine needles, logs, and the bases of trees — heavy brown tones throughout.
That's why the build is split:
- Alder Leaf Suit top — green, matches the canopy
- Brown Oak Combat Pants — brown base, matches the floor
When crouching, sitting, or going prone in an environment with both color ranges, a mixed build blends in naturally. A single-color suit sticks out in one half of the environment no matter what.
What We're Working With
- Brown Oak Combat Pants as the base layer
- Dark Treeline HaloScreen modules — leftover fourth color from the Alder top video, skipped because the canopy environment was too lush. Now going on the bottom where darker, more muted tones match the ground.
- Oak Master 3D Garlands — positive space layer, pre-cut and ready to attach on top of the HaloScreen modules
Nothing from the Laser Cut Kit went to waste. The modules saved from the top video finish the pants — the modular system working exactly as intended.

How The Brown Oak Pants Are Built For Crafting
Like the Alder Leaf Suit top, the Brown Oak Combat Pants come with two types of attachment points built in:
Netting mesh loops — the same fine mesh from the top, allows zip ties to be woven in and out for deep, secure attachment.
Fabric elastic loops — a second loop type unique to the pants, designed for attaching a wider range of materials including natural vegetation, garlands, and heavier modules.
Using both gives you more placement options and more depth across the pants than using one type alone.

Step By Step — How Jeff Crafted The Pants
Set up for easy access Jeff hung the pants so he could stand and work from both sides — front, back, and both legs — without having to flip them repeatedly. Simple setup that saves a lot of time during a long crafting session.
Divide modules into four piles Two legs, two sides per leg — front left, front right, back left, back right. Dividing the modules before starting ensures even coverage across the full surface of the pants rather than running out on one side.
Start mid-thigh, work down The Alder Leaf Suit top covers the upper thigh area when worn. Jeff starts attaching modules from mid-thigh down — knees, shins, and calves — where the pants are fully exposed.
Attach HaloScreen modules first Dark Treeline modules go on first using zip ties through the mesh loops. Same technique as the top — weave through, close off, snip the tail flush. No zip tie tails left sticking up.
Layer Oak Master 3D Garlands on top Once the HaloScreen modules are attached, the Oak Master Garlands go on top for positive space depth. The garlands layer naturally over the HaloScreen material and add volume that reads as natural vegetation at distance. The Faded Beech and Cold Coyote tones in the garlands complement the Dark Treeline modules and the Brown Oak base of the pants.
The Final Result
Dark Treeline HaloScreen modules plus Oak Master 3D Garlands on a Brown Oak base — the vegetation factor of the pants increased significantly. No deliberate patterns, good spread across both legs front and back.
Paired with the crafted Alder top, the full build is now:
- Green canopy coverage on top
- Brown floor coverage on the bottom
- HaloScreen negative space throughout
- Oak Master positive space on the pants
The next step is the field — put the full suit to the test and find out what works, what needs more coverage, and what to grab off the shelf for the next iteration.

FAQ
Do I need a full new kit for the pants, or can I use leftovers from the top? Jeff used leftover Dark Treeline modules from the Alder top video for the pants — nothing went to waste. If you're doing a full suit build, one Laser Cut Kit may not cover everything. Plan on two to three kits total for complete top-to-bottom coverage.
Why Dark Treeline for the pants and not the other shades? Dark Treeline is the deepest, most muted shade in the kit. It matches the shadowy ground environment — dead leaves, pine needles, and the bases of trees — better than the brighter green shades used on the top.
What's the difference between mesh loops and fabric elastic loops on the Brown Oak pants? Mesh loops are the same netting found on the Alder top — zip ties weave through for a secure hold. Fabric elastic loops are a second attachment type on the pants that accommodate a wider range of materials including natural vegetation and heavier modules. Using both gives you more placement options.
Do the Oak Master Garlands attach the same way as the HaloScreen modules? Yes — zip ties through the loops or mesh. The garlands layer on top of the HaloScreen modules and attach through the same points.
What's next after crafting? Field test. The full build — Alder top and Brown Oak pants both crafted — goes into the field to see how the suit performs and what still needs work.
